Nick Young, Pookie Powell to transfer from Memphis

Nick King and Pookie Powell will transfer out of Memphis, head coach Josh Pastner announced Wednesday.

"Nick and Pookie both are fine young men and in good academic standing at the University," Pastner said. "We support both players and wish them all the best."

King was the team's fifth-leading scorer, pouring in 7.2 points this past season while adding 4.8 rebounds.

Powell, playing in his first season with the Tigers, averaged 4.3 points and 2.7 assists.
