Dick Hunsaker has announced he'll step down as the head basketball coach at Utah Valley as of June 30, 2015.
Hunsaker released a statement where he gave no reason for the move, but he did mention he's excited about the future:
"My wife likes the timing, as this opens the window to allow us to pick up our youngest son Zachary from his LDS mission in Africa. Also, I am looking forward to getting to know my seven grandchildren," he said.
Hunsaker previously served as head coach for the Ball State Cardinals from 1989-93, leading them to an 97-34 record. He then went on to lead the Utah Utes to an 18-12 season in 2000-01 before landing with the Wolverines.
