Duke center Jahlil Okafor did not play in Saturday's game against Clemson, but his return could be near.

Okafor suffered an ankle injury Wednesday in a win over North Carolina that left him in a walking boot for the rest of the week.

Following the Blue Devils' 78-56 win over the Tigers, coach Mike Krzyzewski said there is "nothing structurally wrong" with the center's ankle. He also stated that he is hopeful for Okafor's participation in Wednesday's game against Virginia Tech, according to Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv

The Blue Devils' leading scorer and rebounder, Okafor went down to the floor and grabbed at his ankle after missing a jump shot late in the first half of Wednesday's game. He returned for the start of the second half and played the final 25 minutes, ending up with a career-high 41 minutes played.

Okafor has been dominant for the Blue Devils in his freshman season, averaging 17.9 points and 9.4 rebounds. Duke can afford to let him heal up with a light slate of games coming up before the regular-season finale at North Carolina.
