Former NBA player Michael Curry has agreed on a deal to be the next head coach at Florida Atlantic, according to Jeff Borzello of CBSSports.com.

Curry also served as the head coach of the Detroit Pistons for the 2008-09 season, in which the team compiled a 39-43 record. He then spent three seasons as an assistant with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Guard Richard Morrow all but confirmed the news over Twitter.

Curry replaces Mike Jarvis, who was behind the bench for five losing seasons in his six years with the program.
