5-star guard Brayden Burries commits to Arizona
Five-star guard Brayden Burries announced his commitment to Arizona on Wednesday.
Burries, who revealed his decision on SportsCenter, is the No. 11 prospect on the 2025 ESPN 100. He received offers from 18 schools, and his final list also included USC, Tennessee, Oregon, and Alabama, reports ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Paul Biancardi.
"Arizona was the best fit for me and my family," Burries said, per Borzello and Biancardi. "Coach (Tommy) Lloyd is a great guy. They have been recruiting me for a while. He allows his players to play both up and down, but they also execute within a structured framework. Everyone is held accountable. Their style of play is smart and aggressive."
Burries was a McDonald's All-American and led Roosevelt High School to the California state championship. He averaged 20.9 points and 5.9 rebounds on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Arizona now has two five-star and ESPN top-15 prospects for next season after Koa Peat announced his commitment to the program on March 27.
Burries also joins top-50 prospect Dwayne Aristode and four-star wing Bryce James, son of LeBron James, in the Wildcats' 2025 recruiting class.
