With Sunday night's 69-49 loss to North Carolina, Saint Peter's run as the first 15-seed to ever make the Elite Eight came to a disappointing close.

However, Peacocks head coach Shaheen Holloway has nothing but positive memories about arguably the greatest Cinderella story in March Madness history.

"(I'll remember) that a group of guys came in here (that) no one gave a chance to, no one believed in ... and made history. They shocked the world," he told reporters, including the New York Post's Brian Wacker.

"Saint Peter's did it - period, " Holloway added. "Saint Peter's made it to the Elite Eight. Great story. You guys should write a lot about it."

The Peacocks didn't just win three games in the NCAA Tournament - they beat national powerhouse Kentucky, a top mid-major program in Murray State, and jumbo-sized Purdue and Jaden Ivey, a future lottery pick. On the betting side, Saint Peter's was a double-digit underdog in two of its three victories.

While the team's offense sputtered against the Tar Heels, it held its four opponents below their season averages in points during regulation, a testament to Holloway's game plan and the Peacocks' strong defense.

As a result of the team's success, the coach has been rumored to become the lead man at his alma mater, Seton Hall, after longtime bench boss Kevin Willard moved to Maryland.

When asked about the potential move up in the coaching ranks, Holloway responded simply by saying, "I'm the head coach at Saint Peter's," according to ZagsBlog's Adam Zagoria.

No matter what the future holds for Holloway and his players, their fairy-tale journey's impact on the program, school, and college basketball fans will remain ingrained in NCAA Tournament history.
