Oregon State has signed head coach Wayne Tinkle to a four-year contract extension, the school announced Monday.

Tinkle is now under contract through the 2026-27 season.

"My family and I are so thankful for our opportunity with Oregon State. We want to thank Beaver Nation for all of their love and support as well," Tinkle said in a statement. "We're looking forward to continuing with the success that's been built here at OSU."

After guiding the Beavers to their first-ever Pac-12 championship this season, Tinkle helped the program advance to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1982. Oregon State's 20-13 record marked only the third time in the last 31 years the school finished with 20 or more wins.

Tinkle began his coaching career with Montana, spending eight years with the program. He's earned a 113-109 record since joining the Beavers ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.

Oregon State has finished at or above .500 in six of Tinkle's seven seasons on the job. However, the Beavers were 5-27 in 2016-17.
