Loyola Chicago coach Moser says he hasn't pondered his future
Loyola Chicago head coach Porter Moser will attract a lot of interest this offseason after guiding the Ramblers to their second Sweet 16 appearance in four years.
Indiana and Texas are among the current high-profile head coaching vacancies, but Moser insists he hasn't pondered a future elsewhere.
"I've had my blinders on and given 110% of Porter Moser to the Rambler team," Moser said following Loyola Chicago's Sweet 16 loss to Oregon State, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello. "I've blocked out the noise. I need time to digest this with these guys."
Moser has transformed the Ramblers into a perennial conference contender since his arrival a decade ago. The 52-year-old is 188-140 as the program's bench boss.
Loyola Chicago has captured three Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns. The Ramblers are also only four years removed from a Final Four run.
Moser's team allowed an NCAA-best 55.8 points per contest this past season as one of college basketball's stingiest units.
