Kentucky head coach John Calipari announced Monday the program requested freshman forward Cam'Ron Fletcher to take some time away from the team.

Fletcher was visibly upset near the end of Kentucky's 75-63 loss to North Carolina on Saturday. Calipari revealed postgame that Fletcher was frustrated about his playing time after being on the court for just two minutes in the contest, according to ESPN's Myron Medcalf.

Fletcher issued an apology to Wildcats fans Sunday on Twitter.

Kentucky's loss to North Carolina dropped their record to 1-5 this season, which is the Wildcats' worst start in Calipari's tenure as head coach.
