Wednesday's scheduled Pac-12 conference opener between Colorado and Arizona has been postponed after the Buffaloes paused operations in response to positive COVID-19 tests within the program.

Colorado announced it is unable to participate Wednesday as it will not have the minimum number of scholarship student-athletes available due to COVID-19 and "associated contact tracing protocols."

"The status of other upcoming games is dependent upon contact tracing and subsequent testing of team members and basketball staff this week," Colorado athletic director Rick George said in a statement.

This is the third time this season Arizona has had a matchup called off due to COVID-19 issues, and the first for Colorado. The Wildcats didn't play their scheduled season opener against Northern Arizona or Sunday's game against UTEP after both of those programs reported positive tests.

Arizona is 1-0 this season after a 74-55 win over Grambling on Friday. Colorado, meanwhile, is 2-0 following victories over South Dakota and Kansas State.
