The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut is among the candidates for a Big East men's basketball bubble, Adam Zagoria of NJ.com reports.
The Big East hopes each school can play five or six conference games during a two-week span in January, a source tells CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
The IMG Academy, which hosted the WNBA earlier this year, has been the previously rumored bubble destination but is currently not an option, according to Zagoria.
"We are exploring other bubble options," a source told Zagoria. "Mohegan is one of them."
The Mohegan Sun Arena has housed the WNBA's Connecticut Sun since 2003. The venue is on the verge of an agreement to host more than 30 teams for several early-season tournaments over the next two months.
COVID-19 has already affected the Big East. Villanova, Marquette, and UConn suspended all basketball activities after each had a player test positive for the coronavirus.
Big East conference play is slated to start on Dec. 11.
