One of Canada's top high school basketball prospects, center Enoch Boakye, announced his commitment to Michigan State on Tuesday.

Listed at 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds, Boakye is ranked No. 18 overall among the 2022 cohort on 247 Sports' recruit board. He is currently playing at George Harris Prep in Mississauga, Ontario.

"Michigan State has done a lot in recruiting me; they've put a lot of time into recruiting me," Boakye told 247 Sports' Travis Branham. "Coach (Tom) Izzo came down to Canada a few times to watch me even in a practice setting. I heard that the first time he came down to see me was the first time he has been down to Canada for the past 20 years."

The highly regarded Canadian follows in the footsteps of small forward Emoni Bates, the 2022 class' top overall recruit. Bates committed to Izzo's program in late June.
