Four-star center Adama Sanogo has reclassified from the 2021 recruiting class to the 2020 class and verbally committed to Connecticut, he confirmed to 247Sports' Evan Daniels.
The 6-foot-9, 250-pound big man out of The Patrick School in New Jersey had been ranked 28th overall and sixth among centers on the 2021 ESPN 60 recruit board.
Sanogo never made an official visit to UConn's campus due to constraints in place because of the coronavirus pandemic, but he said he was able to get an idea of his future with the Huskies through electronic means.
"I liked the campus and I like their gym," Sanogo said. "They showed me a video of their plans to play me next year and I liked the video. It was a nice Zoom call."
