Throughout the college basketball season, we'll highlight the top betting trends and angles for the biggest games on the schedule. Here are some tips for Thursday's slate.

San Diego at No. 3 Gonzaga (-25.5, 149)

Scared of laying the big number? Don't be with Gonzaga, which is 13-7-1 against the spread since 2018 when laying 25-plus points. The Bulldogs are also 23-6 to the over this year, including 11-4 at home, so a high-scoring blowout should be in store against the Toreros.

Trend play: Gonzaga -25.5

Oregon State at No. 14 Oregon (-10, 135.5)

Everything points to fireworks in this year's Civil War. The Ducks have gone 10-4 to the over in their 14 home games this campaign, averaging 81.2 points per contest. Meanwhile, the Beavers are 8-2 to the over on the road and have surpassed Thursday's total in six of those eight overs.

Trend play: Over 137

No. 21 Colorado (-8, 128) at California

Colorado's been a fun sleeper this year, but the Buffaloes have now lost five of their last six ATS, and they face a California team that's 7-3 ATS as a home 'dog. The low total here also leaves little margin for error, as 8-plus point road favorites are 1-6 ATS in February when the total is 128 or lower.

Trend play: California +8

No. 23 Ohio State (-9.5, 144.5) at Nebraska

Much like with the above matchup, betting a big ranked favorite against an unranked home 'dog is asking for trouble. This year, teams giving 8-plus points in that spot are 15-23-1 ATS, and they're 10-22 ATS when giving 9.5 or more. Nebraska's been shaky at home, but the Buckeyes have also gone 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games. Take the points.

Trend play: Nebraska +9.5
