Throughout the college basketball season, we'll highlight the top betting trends and angles for the biggest games on the schedule. Here are some tips for Tuesday's slate.

Kansas State at No. 2 Baylor (-14, 122)

How will Baylor respond after losing a high-profile matchup to Kansas on Saturday? Others in this spot have bounced back: Teams coming off losses in top-three matchups are on a 13-6 run against the spread (68.4%) dating back to last season, including a 10-4 ATS run (71.4%) in regular-season games.

Trend play: Baylor -14

Colorado State at No. 5 San Diego State (-13.5, 139.5)

One of the most profitable trends in college football is to bet against teams after their first losses of the year. It applies in college basketball, too: Since 2007, teams that start their seasons on 15-game win streaks or better are 15-23-1 ATS immediately after suffering their first losses. San Diego State could struggle to get up for this tilt against Colorado State.

Trend play: Colorado State +13.5

No. 7 Duke (-11.5, 151) at Wake Forest

Duke has been a lousy bet away from home, losing five of its last six ATS. But the over has gone 6-3 in the Blue Devils' nine road games and 10-2 in their last 12 overall. Wake Forest also boasts a 9-3 mark to the over at home this year, so expect points Tuesday.

Trend play: Over 149

No. 18 Iowa at No. 24 Michigan State (-8.5, 151.5)

Michigan State's 9-4 ATS record at home is a noteworthy trend for this matchup, but the number is too big to trust the inconsistent home favorite. The Spartans have lost five of their last six ATS and are a disappointing 1-6 ATS against ranked teams this year after entering all seven of those contests as chalk. Ranked teams are also riding a 14-6-1 ATS run as underdogs against other ranked opponents, which bodes well for Iowa.

Trend play: Iowa +8.5
