USC received a notice of allegations from the NCAA regarding a former men's basketball coach, the school announced in a statement Friday.

The NCAA was investigating USC, among several other Division I programs, due to alleged rules violations that surfaced during two recent federal criminal cases in New York, according to ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

USC is the latest Division I program to receive a notice of allegations related to the investigation, following Kansas, NC State, and Oklahoma State.

USC didn't reveal the identity of the coach involved in the notice of allegations due to the NCAA's pending case.

Notably, though, former Trojans assistant coach Tony Bland pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery in January. Bland admitted to accepting cash in return for directing USC players that went pro toward specific financial advisors and business managers, according to Schlabach.

Bland was one of four assistant coaches arrested in 2017 following a two-year FBI investigation into recruiting corruption, bribery, and fraud within college basketball. He was sentenced to two years of probation and 100 hours of community service for his role in the scandal.
