Tulane has fired head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr., sources told The Times-Picayune's Jeff Duncan.

In three seasons with the Green Wave, Dunleavy led Tulane to a 24-69 record, including 21 straight losses to cap the 2018-19 campaign. Tulane's .129 win percentage this season is the program's worst since it went 3-22 (.120) in 1964-65.

After an 11-season professional career, Dunleavy spent 17 seasons as an NBA head coach, boasting stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Clippers, earning Coach of the Year honors with Portland in the lockout-shortened 1999 season. He last coached at the NBA level with the Clippers in 2009-10.
