Freshman star Jaxson Hayes left late in Texas' Big 12 Tournament loss to Kansas on Thursday after injuring his left knee under the basket.
"Hopefully it's not extremely serious," head coach Shaka Smart told reporters, as per ESPN. "But he was in some pain."
Hayes, a projected lottery pick should he declare for the 2019 NBA Draft, got tangled up with Jayhawks guard Devon Dotson and needed help off the court.
The Big 12 Freshman of the Year is averaging 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds this season.
