LaMelo Ball almost teamed up with Zion Williamson, Shareef O'Neal in HS
LaMelo Ball had discussions about forming a high school superteam with Zion Williamson and Shareef O'Neal before pursuing a professional basketball career in Lithuania.
The youngest Ball brother revealed in an interview with Overtime that the trio talked about possibly playing together at his former high school, Chino Hills, or Crossroads, where O'Neal spent his senior season.
"One season, you know how it was about to be my junior year? Or whenever (Williamson) was a senior, we was trying to have me, him, and 'Reef on the same team," Ball said. "We was talking about Chino Hills, Crossroads, something like that."
Ball, who enrolled at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio for his senior season, said earlier this month he hopes to play for a top college basketball program and named Duke as one of the schools he's interested in.
