Coach K thinks college basketball is 'actually pretty clean'

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski doesn't believe the trial tied to the FBI's investigation of corruption in college basketball represents the true nature of the sport.

"I think (college basketball) is actually pretty clean," he said, according to ESPN's Myron Medcalf.

Krzyzewski's name has stayed out of reports that have shaken the college basketball landscape. Multiple schools have gone under investigation over the past several months for allegedly paying, or promising payments, to the families of high school prospects in an attempt to steer them toward Adidas sponsored programs.

"I really haven't followed it that much," Krzyzewski said during his team's media day press conference on Monday. "I think it's minute, it's a blip. It's not what's happening. ... We haven't lost guys because someone cheated. I haven't paid attention to it because I haven't been affected by it."

Duke enters the season with the top-three freshman recruits (R.J. Barrett, Zion Williamson, and Cam Reddish) and will debut against powerhouse Kentucky on Nov. 6.
