Oklahoma State has suspended guard Michael Weathers indefinitely after being charged with grand larceny earlier this month.

"Michael Weathers was suspended from team activities as soon as we learned of the incident," head coach Mike Boynton said in a statement, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello. "He remains suspended indefinitely."

The police report states Weathers stole a woman's wallet at a bar in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Sept. 9, and that he used a debit card found in the victim's wallet to purchase drinks with his friends. The woman was able to identify Weathers, who returned the wallet to the victim with the debit card still missing.

Weathers posted a recognizance bond of $35 and has a court hearing on Oct. 1. If Weathers is convicted of grand larceny, he can face up to one year in prison and a maximum fine of $1,000 in Oklahoma.

The sophomore guard transferred to Oklahoma State after spending the 2016-17 season at Miami (Ohio). Weathers was ineligible to play last season but is expected to start at guard for the Cowboys this year.
