As the FBI's investigation into corruption in college basketball continues, the University of Kansas indicated that the school has been subpoenaed by the federal government.

The university responded to a public records request from Yahoo Sports for subpoenas related to the investigation by replying that it "has public records that are responsive to your request." Kansas added that it's "cooperating with the government inquiry."

Lawyers and document experts confirmed to Yahoo Sports that the university's language means it has been subpoenaed.

However, the school has refused to turn the documents over to Yahoo Sports.

Kansas has close ties to Adidas, and the apparel company is among the investigation's targets. Federal documents indicate that Adidas executives discussed making illicit payments to current Jayhawks player Silvio De Sousa and former recruit Billy Preston.
