LaVar Ball plans to make LaMelo "the face" of his Junior Basketball Association, but he was initially reluctant about having his youngest son play in the NCAA-alternate league.
On the latest episode of "Ball in the Family," LaMelo is seen trying to convince his father to let him join the JBA instead of playing in Europe.
"It's up in the air for Melo to play in the JBA," LaVar said. "The bad thing is, I don't think we'll be playing against guys that are grown men. Now the good thing is, I'm starting this league and a lot of kids think this is their last chance to go pro. So I may get enough dogs in there that really want to play this game with a passion."
The JBA kicks off its inaugural season Thursday.
