Purdue head coach Matt Painter said Isaac Haas will not play in Friday's Sweet 16 match against Texas Tech, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. Haas hasn't played since fracturing his elbow in Purdue's Round of 64 win against Cal State Fullerton.

The NCAA announced Friday morning that it amended a rule interpretation regarding the use of braces that could help Haas get back on the floor for Purdue. However, Painter said he won't play Haas until he is able to shoot a right-handed free throw and get a two-handed rebound.

The 7-foot-2 senior is averaging 14.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game this year.
