It's impressive enough that Joel Berry II has now scored the 13th-most points in the storied history of North Carolina men's basketball, but the man he passed makes the achievement even more noteworthy.

With a 3-pointer in Friday's game against Lipscomb, Berry reached the 1,790-point mark for his career, passing Michael Jordan for the 13th spot on the school's all-time list.

Jordan left North Carolina after three star-studded seasons, including multiple player of the year awards and a national championship. Berry has been with the program for four years, but didn't see much playing time in his freshman season. He will also leave the school with at least one national title thanks to last season's epic run in the NCAA tournament.
