Ron Hunter is no longer confined to coaching from a stool, but that doesn't mean Georgia State won't have the opportunity to knock its head coach off his feet once again in the NCAA tournament.

It's been three years since Hunter took his infamous spill following his son's game-winning shot to knock off Baylor in second-round action, and this season marks the first time Georgia State has returned to the big dance. The Panthers sealed their automatic bid by winning the Sun Belt Conference tournament, and will open this year's tournament as a No. 15 seed in the South bracket against No. 2 Cincinnati.

In case you've forgotten what exactly happened on that memorable day in 2015, here is a reminder:

Best Win: Georgia State's only appearance against a tournament team took place on Dec. 9 against eventual Big Sky champions Montana, and the Panthers defeated the Grizzlies, 71-68. Georgia State did almost squander a 16-point halftime lead in the contest, but showed the resiliency necessary to succeed in the tournament after Montana tied the game with just over a minute left to play. The Panthers will need every bit of toughness they can muster to even make it out of the first round, but never say never.

Season Summary: Much of Georgia State's season has been a roller coaster of wins and losses, but the Panthers proved they could go on a tear when they pulled off a 10-game winning streak through January and into February. The team was led primarily on the court by sophomore guard D'Marcus Simonds, who averaged a team-high 21.1 points along with 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists on 46-percent shooting. Georgia State is currently riding a four-game winning streak that began with a win over South Alabama to close the regular season.
