Michael Porter Jr. will return from a four-month absence on Thursday for Missouri in SEC tournament action, Tigers coach Cuonzo Martin confirmed to ESPN's Paul Finebaum.
Porter injured his back two minutes into Missouri's season opener on Nov. 11 and hasn't played since. It's been expected, however, that he would attempt to return in time for March Madness - for which Mizzou is projected as a mid-bracket squad.
Porter entered his freshman season as the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft but has seen his stock slip slightly given his lack of playing time. A high-scoring 6-foot-10 wing, Porter should instantly add another dimension to the Tigers' attack.
