The girls' basketball team at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School has elected to forfeit next week's playoff game and therefore end their season, according to the Sun Sentinel's Wells Dusenbury.

The Broward County, Fla., school was the site of a mass shooting last week in which 14 students and three teachers were killed. Junior guard Maddy Wilford was critically injured in the shooting but is now in stable condition in hospital.

The game had originally been scheduled for the day after the tragedy.

Stoneman Douglas ends the season with a 15-8 record.
