Gargantuan UCF center Tacko Fall has been ruled out for the rest the season after undergoing surgery on an injured shoulder.

"Injuries are unfortunate, but they are just part of the game," Fall lamented in the team's announcement. "It pains me that I won't be able to be out there and compete with my brothers, however I'll still keep cheering and being the best teammate I can possibly be. Great things are still ahead for us."

The 7-foot-6 Senegalese had played a significant role around the basket for the Knights, who are currently tied for fifth in AAC conference play. Fall leads the conference in field-goal percentage (76.7), total rebound percentage (18.9), and blocks per game (1.9).

In just under 22 minutes per appearance, Fall averaged 11.3 points and 7.3 rebounds.
