Xavier's Trevon Bluiett opts out of NBA draft in favor of senior season

Xavier's leading scorer has decided against rolling the dice in the NBA draft, as head coach Chris Mack told Jeff Goodman of ESPN that Trevon Bluiett has elected to return for his senior season.

The standout Xavier guard originally declared for the draft without an agent on March 31, but later found himself in hot water after being arrested on April 10 on one count of possession of marijuana, hash oil, or hasish, according to Holly V. Hays of USA TODAY Sports.

As the Musketeer's leading scorer last season, Bluiett averaged 18.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 35.1 minutes for a Xavier team that enjoyed an exciting run to the Elite Eight.
