Enes Kanter's brother Kerem withdraws from draft; will play at Xavier
Enes Kanter's younger brother, Kerem, will play at Xavier next season, as the 6-foot-10 forward told ESPN's Jeff Goodman on Monday that he has withdrawn from the NBA draft.
Kerem played his first three collegiate seasons at Green Bay, but announced he was declaring for the draft without an agent in late March. Shortly after, he committed to Xavier as a graduate transfer for next season in case he decided to return to school, which he confirmed he's doing.
While the younger Kanter certainly doesn't have the skills of the Oklahoma City Thunder star, he showed he can be a productive player last season, averaging 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest.
The Turkish-born player adds much-needed size to a Xavier team that spent a large portion of the season with only one starter standing over 6-foot-8.
