Ohio State guard JaQuan Lyle was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with misdemeanors for public intoxication, criminal mischief to a vehicle, and disorderly conduct, according to Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office records.
The 21-year-old was released on $150 bond.
Police records obtained by Pat Hickey of the Evansville Courier & Press allege Lyle, who hails from Evansville, Ind., punched the front door of a local bar and then punched a police car after he was escorted from the establishment for being too intoxicated.
Lyle, a sophomore in 2016-17, averaged 11.4 points and 4.6 assists per game for the Buckeyes last season. He previously announced his intention to return for his junior campaign.
