Patrick Ewing picked up a solid piece for his rebuild at Georgetown on Sunday.

Former South Dakota guard Trey Dickerson announced he would be joining the Hoyas as a transfer. Dickerson averaged more than 10 points per game last season for the Coyotes.

This won't be Dickerson's first transfer, as he previously jumped from Iowa to South Dakota. As a graduate transfer, Dickerson will be immediately eligible for Ewing.

It's welcome news for the Hoyas, who lost several players when it was announced John Thomson III would be fired. Akoy Agau opted to transfer, and four-star point guard Tremont Waters asked for his release after previously committing to Georgetown.
