Gonzaga will have to find a new leading scorer next season, as guard Nigel Williams-Goss announced Tuesday he'll enter the 2017 NBA Draft.
Williams-Goss played two seasons at Washington before transferring to Gonzaga, sitting out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Returning to the court as a redshirt junior this past season, he led the Zags in scoring, averaging 16.8 points, and helped them reach their first-ever Final Four, where they ultimately lost to North Carolina in the national title game.
| Year | School | FG% | PPG | RPG | APG |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2016-17 | Gonzaga | 48.6 | 16.8 | 6 | 4.7 |
| 2014-15 | Washington | 44.2 | 15.6 | 4.7 | 5.9 |
| 2013-14 | Washington | 46.4 | 13.4 | 4.4 | 4.4 |
Williams-Goss is the second player to declare early for the Zags, joining freshman Zach Collins.
