Report: UCLA's Welsh, Holiday testing NBA draft waters
UCLA's 2017-18 lineup could look very different, as two more players are considering a jump to the NBA.
Bruins center Thomas Welsh and guard Aaron Holiday will be declaring for the NBA draft without agents, Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports reports. Welsh averaged 10.8 points and Holiday 12.3 in the 2016-17 season.
While Holiday might be the better scorer, Welsh could be a more attractive NBA prospect. The center stands 7-feet tall and his length might entice teams to take a chance on him. That said, both players could still opt to return to college, as they haven't hired agents.
UCLA head coach Steve Alford will be hoping they stick around. The Bruins have already lost Lonzo Ball and TJ Leaf to the pros, while Ike Anigbogu has also declared without an agent.
