TCU's Fisher to resume drills 6 weeks after wrist surgery

Ray Carlin / USA TODAY Sports

Jaylen Fisher received some good news Thursday, as TCU head coach Jamie Dixon confirmed the freshman guard's surgery to repair a broken left wrist was successful, according to Jimmy Burch of The Star-Telegram.

Fisher was given a recovery timeline of six weeks before he will be able to start basketball-related drills, and three months before he can return to full-speed workouts. Fisher broke his wrist March 15 in the Horned Frogs' opening round matchup against Fresno State in the NIT.

Fisher was the highest-rated recruit in program history, averaging 9.9 points and four assists in 29.5 minutes last season.
