NCAA East Region tickets posting big demand in Greenville and NYC
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

In the East Region, the road to the Final Four runs through Madison Square Garden in New York City. Before one team makes it that far, however, it must win its sub-region.

The top-ranked Villanova Wildcats will start their title defense in Buffalo, New York at the KeyBank Center, where they will take on the 16th-seed from the play-in game, before facing the winner of No. 8 Wisconsin and No. 9 Virginia Tech. NCAA tournament tickets in the East Region start from as low as $16, according to search engine TicketIQ. Additional savings on all NCAA tournament tickets can be found on the TicketIQ app.

The winner of the Buffalo sub-region will play the winner of the Orlando sub-region at the Amway Center. In Orlando, the action will involve No. 5 Virginia taking on No. 12 UNC Wilmington, and No. 4 Florida facing No. 13 East Tennessee State. Ticket prices for the Orlando sub-region start at just $39, which is the second-lowest price for the East Region.

On the bottom portion of the East Region, No. 2 Duke headlines the Greenville, South Carolina section and will face No. 15 Troy in first-round action. Expect to pay up if looking to be on hand during that session, however, as tickets start from a cool $260 on TicketIQ.

Historically, Duke has struggled as a No. 2 seed, but this team will likely feel motivated after missing out on a top seed, and despite how they’re ranked, the Blue Devils are actually one of the odds-on favorites to win it all. Duke figures to play the winner of the matchup between No. 7 South Carolina and No. 10 Marquette.

The South Region will also be playing games in Greenville, so ticket prices are exceeding tournament averages. The winner of the Greenville region will face the winner of the Tulsa, Oklahoma region, which features matchups between No. 3 Baylor and No. 14 New Mexico State, and No. 6 SMU taking on a No. 11 seed that will be determined in one of the play-in games.
