South Florida will reportedly hire Brian Gregory as its new head coach, according to Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

Gregory was a consultant at Michigan State in 2016-17, after being head coach at Georgia Tech from 2011-2016, and at Dayton from 2003-2011.

In five seasons with the Yellow Jackets, Gregory didn't qualify for the NCAA tournament, finishing with a 76-86 record overall and 27-61 in-conference, leading to his removal.

With Dayton, Gregory qualified for two tournaments, making the second round in 2009, while also winning the NIT tournament in 2010.

South Florida fired Orlando Antigua on Jan. 3 following a 6-7 start to the season and 23-55 overall record.
