UC Santa Barbara has fired head coach Bob Williams after 19 seasons at the helm, he told Jeff Goodman of ESPN on Thursday.
Williams took the Gauchos to three NCAA tournaments during his tenure, but none in the last six campaigns. He's a three-time Big West Coach of the Year, and guided the program to 19-plus wins in three of his last four years in the position.
UC Santa Barbara wrapped up its miserable 6-22 regular season with a victory over Cal Poly on Saturday.
