UCLA added to its star-studded recruiting class Saturday, as four-star forward Chris Smith announced his pledge to the Bruins.

Smith, a native Texan who currently attends Huntington Prep in West Virginia, picked UCLA over Oregon and TCU.

"I've been working on my list for a while," Smith explained to Evan Daniels of Scout. "I trimmed it down to Oregon, UCLA and TCU, and I got to see Oregon and UCLA this week and I got to differentiate those two. I was really torn between going back home to TCU or staying away from home and going to UCLA. I went on the visit and I'd been to TCU and I just felt like UCLA was the better fit."

Smith was initially a 2018 prospect, but reclassified into the 2017 cycle.

He joins four-stars Kris Wilkes, Jaylen Hands, Cody Riley, and Jalen Hill in the Bruins' recruiting class, as well as three-star LiAngelo Ball - the younger brother of UCLA star Lonzo Ball.

UCLA sits second on ESPN's class rankings in 2017, behind only Kentucky.
