A win for Notre Dame normally would have been enough to make Matt Farrell happy, but the Fighting Irish guard experienced something much more important than wins and losses on Monday night.
Following his team's 77-62 victory over Colgate, Farrell was directed to the video board, where a message from his brother Bo played, seemingly from Afghanistan where he was stationed, telling Farrell how proud he is of him and how he can't wait to see him.
Bo was supposed to come home in February. Instead, he made it home for the holidays.
Immediately following the video, Matt realized his brother was standing at the opposite end of the court, and the two embraced.
