Report: Duke expected to land 5-star F Wendell Carter

It appears Duke will land another five-star recruit, as multiple sources told Jon Rothstein of Fan Rag Sports that Wendell Carter is expected to commit to the Blue Devils on Wednesday.

Carter is the top power forward prospect in the class of 2017, and is ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the ESPN 100.

The 6-foot-9, 254-pounder would join a loaded Duke class, as the Blue Devils have already received commitments from five-star shooting guard Gary Trent Jr., and four-star shooting guard Alex O'Connell.

The Atlanta native was being pursued by numerous top-level programs, and had whittled his list down to Harvard, Georgia Tech, and Georgia. His decision marks the 13th five-star commitment since the class of 2014 for head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
