Former Delaware guard Kory Holden transferring to South Carolina
Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports
Kory Holden is heading to the SEC.
The Delaware transfer will be joining South Carolina, he told Jeff Borzello of ESPN. Holden was also considering Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, and Baylor.
A 6-foot-2 guard, Holden averaged nearly 18 points for the Blue Hens last season, so it's a solid get for the Gamecocks.
South Carolina just missed out on the NCAA tournament last season, but Holden won't be able to help them get over the hump right away. He'll have to sit out in 2016-17 because of the transfer, but he'll still have two years of eligibility left for Frank Martin's squad.
