Xavier and Chris Mack have agreed on a contract extension to keep the head coach with the program through the 2021-22 season. The deal adds an extra year to Mack's current contract.
"We are proud of what this team achieved this season but are not satisfied," Mack said. "We have lofty goals for our basketball program. Xavier is a special place and the support from the entire Xavier community and my hometown of Cincinnati is overwhelming. I am excited about the future of our program."
Mack guided the Musketeers to a 28-6 record this season and a second round exit in March Madness.
The 46-year-old owns a 162-77 record in his seven years with the team and has taken Xavier to the NCAA tournament in all but one of his campaigns as head coach.
