Nevermind stopping J.J. Barea. Who's going to stop the Dallas Mavericks' announcing crew?
An elated Mark Followill blurted out, "Oh, Baby Daddy hit it again," after Barea drained a clutch basket as part of his 29-point outing against the Detroit Pistons on Friday.
Barea and his wife welcomed a daughter the night prior and Followill followed up with the apt nickname.
The 31-year-old's unexpected breakout performance (18.2 points and 5.3 assists over his last nine games) has given the Mavericks new life late in the season.
