Basketball fans in The Big Easy may have seen Eric Gordon suit up for the New Orleans Pelicans for the very last time.

Entering the 2015-16 offseason as an unrestricted free agent, it's highly unlikely the Pelicans will reach out and offer the 27-year-old guard a new contract, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune's John Reid.

Gordon was recently ruled out for the remainder of the regular season after undergoing successful surgery on his fractured right ring finger.

He was acquired by the franchise, along with Al-Farouq Aminu and Chris Kaman, back in 2011 in a trade which sent All-Star floor general Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Should his days with the Pelicans be numbered, Gordon's tenure with the team will be remembered for the litany of injuries he suffered throughout his five-year run, including a bad right knee and torn labrum in his left shoulder. He's never played more than 64 games in a season for New Orleans, including missing 73 games in 2011-12.

In 45 appearances this season, Gordon averaged 15.2 points on 41.8 percent shooting from the field and 38.4 percent from 3-point range, along with 2.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and one steal.
