After getting put on skates by a 6-foot-11, 270-pound behemoth like DeMarcus Cousins, perhaps it would have been best for Utah Jazz swingman Gordon Hayward to remain on the hardwood Sunday evening.
There's no coming back from this.
Then again, Cousins did enter Sunday's matchup with much fresher legs, having missed the Sacramento Kings' game against the Orlando Magic on Friday due to a team-issued suspension. Excuses won't save Hayward's pride here, though.
