New Orleans Pelicans guard Eric Gordon is reportedly set to undergo surgery on his broken ring finger Tuesday, according to Indiana Pacers play-by-play announcer Scott Agness.

Gordon, who was reportedly in Los Angeles on Monday getting a medical opinion on the need for surgery, re-fractured his right ring finger Saturday in what was only his fourth game back from an extended absence due to the same injury.

The 27-year-old missed nearly six weeks from mid-January to late-February after undergoing surgery at that time.

Gordon, whose productivity has taken a hit over eight, injury-plagued seasons in the Association, is averaging 15.2 points, 2.7 assists, 2.2 rebounds, and a steal on an effective field goal percentage of 52.1 for the Pelicans, who have once again been derailed by injuries.

Since suiting up for 78 games in his rookie season, Gordon has missed 199 contests over the last seven years.

Jrue Holiday, Norris Cole, and Toney Douglas should continue to see additional time with Gordon rejoining Tyreke Evans on the shelf.
