This timeline would seem to jibe with the four-to-six month recovery period that Spanish news outlet Marca outlined for Gasol two weeks earlier when he first suffered the foot fracture. Gasol underwent a successful procedure over the past weekend and isn't expected to endure career-threatening complications as a result of the surgery, but given that he's 7-foot-1 and 31 years old, there will remain some valid concerns of the center's ability to stay healthy when he returns in 2016-17.
