Shooting guards James Harden and J.J. Redick both finished with 20 in the first round of the Three-Point Contest on Saturday night, but they took different routes to get there.
Redick came out of the gate on fire, connecting on his first five shots before slowing down when he got to his money-ball rack at the fifth and final spot. He had a chance to hit 26, but hit only two money balls.
Harden, meanwhile, started off slow with only four points through two racks, then absolutely caught fire toward the end, hitting his last three shots to get to 20.
